Last Monday, during Columbus Day Holiday, I attended the Taste of DC festival. I have mixed opinions. While I expected something slightly better-looking, and with better “big name” restaurants, I was also pleasantly surprised by the yummy items I sampled from several restaurants I didn’t even know existed.
Here are my favorites:
Bistro La Bonne’s Mussels:
Ping Pong Dim Sum‘s Chicken Roll:
Window’s Catering Company‘s Japa-Weiners (I had the middle one, the Nori. The Japanese “lacquered pork” was the best part!)
From Edward Marc, a salted chocolate caramel.
We also sampled some beer, but I didn’t document all those little cups. Some stuff was dubious and tasted very watery. Other was better. My favorite one was Woodchuck’s cider.
