I did these last week for the first time. I couldn’t manage a perfectly round log (I never do, that’s my mom’s feat), and they were not as thick as I would’ve liked them to be, but the flavor came out right. The sugar and butter give a very light cookie, great for tea or coffee, I think. Also, the quantity of spices renders a subtle, yet flavorful spiciness. My roommate and I discussed whether it needed more spice, but decided against it. I liked just the hint of it. You may opt to double the spices, and if you do, let me know what the results are.
Because of their shape and consistency, these cookies are great for shipping, which I did.
This is for you, Saritah.
