The wonderful thing about having two amazing roommates that are very easy to live with, is that we get along so well that we can be friends, not just people who live together.
We have a very fun life together, complaining about the people above us, who walk with steps of horses and make the whole ceiling shake. We freak out at the random roach that lets us know it’s time to replace the traps, have super fun Cranium parties and enjoy the occasional outing together.
One such outing was last night, when we celebrated Nati’s birthday. We went to the super deli-sh Alice’s Tea Cup, a really a super charming tea room, specially because it’s not a touristy place. It’s clientele is made up of loyal locals, so it really feels genuine. Since it’s the Holiday Season.. (already!) They had this super yummy pumpkin spice square cookie that was to die for. I couldn’t just up and ask them for the recipe, but I am determined to find a similar recipe because it was amazing!
It was a really fun, relaxing evening. We spent two hours of talking, eating yummy sandwiches, Alice’s Tea Cup’s famous scones and of course, their bottomless pots of tea.
Nights like those are the ones I love here in New York. It’s a huge city, but there are always a million things to do, for any taste and budget. To make it even better, not only does the city have wonderful places, but I am blessed to have amazing people to experience them with.
